Kevin received his BS from The Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and in 1982 became a co-founder and COO of Waldec Systems, a successful systems integration company that merged with Monterey Microsystems to form Monterey–Waldec.

Kevin also co-founded The Waldec Group, another systems integration company headquartered in Tampa, as a spinoff of Monterey–Waldec. The Waldec Group subsequently grew to seven locations with over 300 employees in Florida and Pennsylvania, and the company recorded over $80 million in revenue when it was sold to IKON Office Solutions in 1997.  He continued to work for IKON from 1998 through 2002, eventually as the CFO of the Technology Services Division, where he was responsible for overseeing the integration of over 40 companies acquired by IKON.

In 2002, he founded Waldec & Associates, an accounting and financial services company which oversees accounting for small companies (most of which he has made a personal investment in and/or have an ownership interest in).
