Marc Sokol has over 40 years experience building, managing, and investing in technology companies. His career began as a software engineer building applications and systems software used by thousands of enterprises world wide. He co-founded the application development tools company Realia, Inc. and ran it until is was acquired by Computer Associates (CA) a multi-billion dollar business software company, where he held a number of executive positions, including Senior VP of Advanced Technology and Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing.
In 2000 he joined JK&B Capital as a general partner responsible for investing in early stage software and Internet companies. In the role of VC, Marc invested in and sat on the board of directors for over 50 startup technology companies. Highlights of Marc’s investment career include the 2005 early stage investment in Entercept, Zone Labs, Appstream, XOSoft, and Splunk (NASDAQ:SPLK). Since 2012 Marc has been an active investor and advisor to a wide range of technology companies.
Marc and his wife spend their time in Palm Harbor, Florida and Long Island, New York.
