At Florida Funders, we're more than investors – we're a dynamic team of serial entrepreneurs and venture capitalists focused on uncovering the next breakout technology founders.
Our Story
In 2018, longtime tech founders and investors Tom Wallace and Marc Blumenthal saw that while talented entrepreneurs were building promising startups in Florida, early-stage capital was scarce, forcing many to leave the state to grow their companies. Thus, Florida Funders began as a crowdfunding platform with a bold vision: to transform the Sunshine State into a thriving tech hub.
They set out to change that by mobilizing Florida’s wealth to invest locally, building a venture capital firm and investor network dedicated to early-stage B2B tech. Together with key partners like Kevin Adamek, Saxon Baum, and Michael Kadow, they laid the foundation for a new kind of firm—one combining capital, expertise, and community.
Today, Florida Funders has grown well beyond state boundaries into the Southeast’s most active early-stage tech investment firm, with over $200 million deployed, 2,000+ accredited investors in our network, and a mission that remains unchanged: to find, fund, and build the next generation of great tech companies.
