We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Natalie Skaf to the Florida Funders team as our Vice President of Investor Relations. Natalie brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, investing, and partnerships, and her knowledge and skills will be invaluable as we continue to expand our Limited Partner (LP) base beyond family offices and high-net-worth individuals and raise capital for game-changing tech startups.

We can’t wait for you all to meet Natalie, but in the meantime, here’s a little about who she is, her background, what she’s most looking forward to about working for Florida Funders, and the superpowers she brings to the table.

Career and Education

Natalie joins us following 7+ years as Vice President of Talk and Entertainment Marketing & Partnerships at SiriusXM. Before that, she worked in business development and fundraising for a healthcare investment firm and was an investment analyst for Prudential Capital Group (now PGIM Private Capital) and Prudential Capital Partners.

Natalie is moving back to her native Florida to join Florida Funders after spending 15+ years up the coast in New York City, for work, and Boston, where she received a BA in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.

With her outstanding education and investment industry prowess, we’re sure she’ll be a fantastic addition to our team.

Bringing Her Superpowers to Florida Funders

When we asked Natalie what she was most excited about in joining Florida Funders, she expressed gratitude for the incredible people who make up the Florida Funders tribe. “The team’s deep respect for one another and their shared commitment to fostering innovation and growth in Florida’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is inspiring,” she said.

And she knows a thing or two about how much you can learn and thrive when surrounded by an amazing team. “Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to surround myself with the best in the business to learn from and collaborate with,” Natalie said. “This has allowed me to grow and develop my skills.” We know Florida Funders will benefit from the breadth and depth of Natalie’s accumulated knowledge.

She also noted that she’s passionate about driving innovation in Florida, the Southeast, and beyond and looks forward to working with dynamic, early-stage startups.

Outside the Office

When she’s not in the office supporting the growth of our portfolio companies, Natalie usually spends time with her family and friends—preferably outdoors or in new places. “The mountains and the water are my happy places, and I love exploring new parts of the world. I’m always up for trying new things!“ she shared.

She also stays active, whether at the gym or outside. This inspired an impressive habit.

“I hate running, but I try to clock in 60 miles a week (cumulatively) before the workday,” Natalie said. “I haven’t had the courage to run a marathon yet, but maybe one day!”
